With more than twenty years of experience in finance and accounting and over a decade in senior leadership, Mathew has built his career around strengthening financial performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting mission-driven organizations.
His foundation began in governmental and nonprofit finance, managing payroll, accounts payable, monthly reporting, and annual budget development for multiple municipalities, while preparing fixed asset reports and audit documentation for more than 180 municipal utility districts, including responsibility for annual reporting on over $800 million in capital assets.
Most recently, Mathew served as Chief Financial Officer in the healthcare sector, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle performance, and financial strategy for a large acute care facility. Under his leadership, the organization achieved a 100% net revenue cash collections target, secured a 12% increase in commercial payor net revenue through strategic contract renegotiations, and reduced key supply costs by 25% through targeted vendor management, maintaining an 18% contribution margin and exceeding EBITDA targets year over year.
Before his CFO role, Mathew led financial operations for a multi-site post-acute care division, managing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, revenue close processes, and regulatory reporting including 990 filings and Medicare cost report support.
